Terms & conditions

Last updated: October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you book a repair, call-out or installation with us, or order spare parts. By booking with us or ordering from us, you accept them. Knock Electric Limited (trading as Electrical Service Centre), registered in Ireland No. 684335, operates this website.

Repair enquiries and appointments

Online bookings are currently paused. The repair enquiry form prepares an email that you must send from your email app; it does not reserve an appointment. We'll agree a day with you separately and give you one hour's notice before the technician arrives. Appointments are available Monday to Friday. If you need to change or cancel an agreed appointment, please call us on (061) 437 716 as early as you can.

Prices and payment

Our current rates are shown on the prices section of the home page, including the call-out fee, additional-appliance fee, installation and workshop repair. Prices include VAT where applicable.

The engineer will diagnose the fault and give you a clear price for the repair before any work starts. If you decide not to go ahead, you pay the call-out fee only. Payment is due when the work is finished.

Access and safety

Please make sure we can safely access the appliance and that the area around it is clear. Someone aged 18 or over must be at the property, or arrange access with us in advance. We may decline work that we believe is unsafe to carry out.

Warranty

Every call-out includes a three-month warranty, on these terms:

  • 3 months on any part we repair or fit, against failure through normal wear and tear.
  • Not covered: damage from neglect or misuse, additional blockages, or damage from flooding, fire, infestation or damp.

Spare parts

Online spare-parts ordering is currently paused. Please phone us on (061) 437 716 to check compatibility, availability and price and arrange your order. Parts remain our property until paid for in full. Fitted parts are covered by the warranty above; parts you collect or fit yourself carry the manufacturer's warranty only.

Liability

We're responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence, but we're not liable for losses that aren't a foreseeable result of our work, for pre-existing faults, or for damage to appliances we've advised you not to repair. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
